Because Christian Zionism drives U.S. support for this genocide, Christians have a responsibility to use our voices as powerfully as possible for the cause of peace and justice. We are taking public action as Christians.

What people are saying about us

Who We Are

We are an ecumenical, grassroots, nonviolent, and volunteer-led movement dedicated to mobilizing Christians across the U.S. to take action in solidarity with Palestinians. Collectively, we seek to end the genocide in Gaza and ensure a long-lasting, just, and sustainable peace for Palestinians and Israelis.

What is our role

Following the leadership of Palestinians — including Palestinian Christians — and working in solidarity with Muslim, Jewish, and other interfaith peace activists, our role is to mobilize Christians to take action in solidarity with all those struggling for a free Palestine, to interrupt and challenge Christian Zionism, and to resist empire in all its forms.

What we believe

We are mindful of Christianity’s historic and contemporary role in the perpetuation of countless forms of violence and oppression, including many settler colonial projects and genocides. This is the devastating consequence of Christianity’s collusion and complicity with empire and its myth of supremacy. Christian Zionism continues this legacy of corrupted Christianity, and we seek to interrupt its ongoing abuse of Christian traditions and U.S. tax dollars to oppress Palestinians, spread hate of Muslims, and manipulate Jews. We reject and resist all attempts to use Christianity for purposes of domination.

At the core of our faith tradition is a story of grace and transformation. Our responsibility as Christians is to live out this liberating narrative. We believe in the power of nonviolent civil disobedience to heal and transform our communities. We seek to directly confront the powers of imperialism through nonviolent direct action, as Jesus did.

We believe that we are all created in the image of God and every life is sacred. We uphold the dignity of all people and reject and resist all manifestations of antisemitism, Islamophobia, racism, heterosexism, and xenophobia.

OUR PRINCIPLES

We are Christians (practicing and non-practicing) from many walks of life. Our principles are basic agreements that help us work together. They sum up the most universal ways we are united. These principles enable us to make decisions and take risks, and take action across differences. Anyone may affiliate and take action with Christians for a Free Palestine as long as they follow these principles. These principles were inspired by our friends at Mennonite Action.

PEOPLE

We love our neighbors as ourselves and we invite our neighbors in.

Our actions are made possible by all of us together — many people, many congregations, many denominations and many traditions. We are Christians (practicing and non-practicing) and interfaith allies acting together for justice, peace, and love. Recognizing that Christianity has been a tool of racism, colonization, and exclusion, we intentionally center the leadership of queer, trans, Black, indigenous, people of color (BIPOC), and Palestinians.

PUBLIC

We bring our faith forward into the public sphere.

We live and pay taxes in a nation that wages war in our name, and as Americans, our public outcry and active resistance is needed. As Christians, we must also speak out and organize against Christian Zionism, which perpetuates false theologies of violence and supremacy that support the genocide in Gaza.

POWER

We have power, and we take responsibility for that power.

As Christians in western nations, it’s not right — but it is reality — that we have more political power than most people living in Palestine, and most other people in the world. With that power, we use our voice and our influence as effectively as possible. We also focus our efforts on who has power, especially as our governments play such a large role in this situation.

PRAYER

Our actions are embodied prayers for peace.

Our actions mourn the loss of life and celebrate the joy of living, modeled by Christ’s ministry, suffering, and resurrection. We work to stop war and violence through prayerful action, and we draw on the rich histories of justice and liberation in our traditions.

PEACE

We believe in peace, and we know true peace confronts conflict.

As peacemakers we are called to flip tables — to step into a public, nonviolent confrontation with the forces that make war. We strive to take action that does not cause harm to other people.

LIBERATION

We oppose all war and occupation.

We support and work to uplift the people of Palestine to live with peace and dignity. We believe in an end to the occupation of Palestine, and a future where Palestinians, Israelis, Jews, Muslims, Christians and all people live side by side in peace and safety, in Palestine, in the US, and across the world.
