March Community Call with I Witness Silwan

“Eyes of the Blind Man” by Sliman Mansour will be the latest mural created in Silwan.

In Silwan, in Occupied East Jerusalem, the Israeli government and settler organizations are replacing living Palestinian neighborhoods with a biblical theme park catered to tourists. By using the simple and stunning images of eyes painted across the neighborhood in murals, Palestinian residents and artists send a clear message as part of their longstanding fight against dispossession: In the words of Jawad Siyam, Director of Madaa-Silwan Creative Center, “The staring eyes say to people that we see them and they should see us too…we love our land and our home.” Join us for our March Community Call to hear live updates from a Silwan resident resisting displacement alongside esteemed Palestinian artist Sliman Mansour, Palestinian American Activist Halah Ahmad, and members of CFP leading solidarity actions in their own communities. Together, as we fight for a free Palestine and dismantle Christian Zionism, we will not avert our eyes.

A recording will be sent to all registrants after the call.
